    Bear Creek Valley Golf Club, Osage Beach Missouri, is looking for a Head Golf Course Superintendent. This could be a current Superintendent or an assistant wishing to move up. Our current Superintendent plans to retire at the end of the season and would like to work with his replacement to make the transition as smooth as possible.

    This is a hands-on position on a par 72 18-hole course with zoysia fairways and L93 bentgrass greens

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintains all grounds, including the golf course, clubhouse surrounds and other maintainable property.

    Experience:

    • 2–4-year Turf/Agronomy/Horticulture Degree (Preferred/Not Required) or 3-5 years as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.

    Harlan Golf and Country Club, a semi-private, 9-hole golf course is seeking an exceptional candidate for our Course Superintendent. Just ten miles off Interstate 80, HGCC is located in Southwest Iowa, situated between Des Moines and the Omaha/Council Bluffs metro area. Our course has existed for over a century and boasts scenic, tree-lined fairways. The course provides a challenge to serious golfers while remaining fun for golfers of all skill levels. 

    Primary Duties: 

    • Daily maintenance of greens, tees, fairways and roughs. 
    • Maintains all grounds and course maintenance equipment. 
    • Maintains irrigation system. 
    • Manages the agronomy and chemical applications while maintaining accurate record keeping. 
    • Works independently and should be an effective problem solver.

    The golf course, originally a 9-hole course, opened in 1923. Renowned architect Tom Bendelow designed the 18-hole course that opened for play one year later. With the clubhouse changing locations, the sequence of holes has changed numerous times throughout the years, but the layout is basically the same. In 2010-11, the team of 1996 British Open winner and former No. 1-ranked player in the world Tom Lehman and partner Chris Brands redesigned the course, installing new green complexes, bunkers, tees and fairway grasses—but keeping the same basic layout.

    The terrain is gently rolling, with numerous, but subtle, elevation changes. The finely manicured golf course features a wide variety of shot values and angles that challenge golfers of every skill level.

    The golf course is known as one of the finest in the state of Minnesota. The club has hosted many state and national championships including the Men's and Women's Trans-Miss, Minnesota State Open, Minnesota State Senior Open, Minnesota PGA Championship, Minnesota Men's & Women's Amateur, Western Junior Championship, MNPGA Junior Championship, MGA Mid-Amateur, MGA Women's Mid-Amateur, PGA-MGA Cup Matches and several USGA qualifying tournaments.

    Toad Valley Superintendent Position.pdf

    Toad Valley Golf Course was built by the Brady family in 1973. It features a par 71 18 hole golf course, miniature golf course, indoor Golfzon simulators and newly renovated driving range with Toptracer technology. It is still owned and operated by the Brady family after 50 years.

    The golf course sits on 110 acres and is surrounded by farmland. Although it is primarily a daily fee golf course, it has nearly 150 season pass holders and hosts over 80 events a year. It is a busy facility with over 40,000 rounds a year.

    It is located near Southeast Polk High School and is in a growing area of the Greater Des Moines Area. It is positioned to continue to develop and grow in the coming years. The Brady family has continued to make improvements to the course over the last twenty years since the third generation of Bradys have taken over management.

    Deer Run Golf Club was built in 2000. It features a par 72 18 hole golf course with plans for a future clubhouse and swimming pool.

    The golf course sits on 225 acres and is surrounded by a housing community in the outskirts of Indianola, Although it is primarily a daily fee golf course, it has nearly 100 season pass holders. It is owned by four individuals who make up Deer Run Partners and is managed by 12:37 Golf Partners which is a management firm made up the same people who manage Toad Valley Golf Course in Pleasant Hill, IA. 12:37 Golf Partners took over in 2022 and have slowly been turning the golf course around to its intended glory.

    It is an increasingly busy golf course with about 15,000 rounds a year and a loyal customer base.
