DESCRIPTION

The Golf Course Equipment Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all golf course equipment for Thunder Hills Country Club. This includes, but is not limited to, mowers, maintenance vehicles, tractors, and specialty turf equipment.

DUTIES AND ESENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Ability to work proactively to maintain a golf course equipment fleet minimizing equipment downtime
• Maintain detailed records of equipment repairs, repair costs, and preventative maintenance of all equipment
• Maintains inventory of parts including filters, belts, hoses, nuts and bolts
• Prioritize equipment maintenance and repair work relative to golf course operations
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Adjusts both reel and rotary mowers to superintendent’s specifications
• Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Computer skills to keep accurate equipment maintenance and repair records
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical systems including gasoline engines, diesel engines, small engines, hydraulic systems, electric over hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
• Welding ability preferred but not required
• Ability to kneel, bend, stretch, and lift objects of up to 50 pounds

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Full-time, year-round employment
• Hourly wage of $22-$26 per hour
