Otter Valley Country Club, a 9 hole course located between George and Boyden,

Iowa is looking for a golf course superintendent.

Day to Day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

● Create a comprehensive plan that ensures consistent quality golf.
● Schedules and assigns tasks to outdoor maintenance staff. Leads by example and helps staff.
● Coordinates with the board on issues related to golf course maintenance.
● Controls golf course maintenance expenses including supplies, equipment, chemicals and fertilizers within the budget
● Applies fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides
● Operate, maintain and install irrigation systems. Repair related drainage systems.
● Provides an annual plan for maintenance and golf course updates.
● Overseas training of employees to operate equipment safely.
● Maintains equipment and yearly upgrades of future capital needs.
● Enjoys a fast-paced environment, is self motivated, able to problem solve.

● Must be able to work independently and be a self-starter

Contracted salary position starting March 15 through November 15 with salary

depending on qualifications.
