Short Hills Country Club - Head Superintendent Position

Overview:

Seeking an experienced Class “A” Head Superintendent to lead our golf course and grounds maintenance, ensuring high standards and member satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct golf course and grounds maintenance operations.
Licensed or ability to obtain license for all necessary pesticide and herbicide spraying.
Maintain proper records for all chemical applications.
Manage staff relations, budgeting, and club communications.
Guide capital projects and employ cutting-edge technologies.

Promote staff development and education.

Candidate Profile:

Proven management experience in golf course maintenance.
Expert in agronomy, business, and financial management.
Strong communicator, leader, and team builder.
Innovative, adaptable, and quality-focused.
Proficient in project management and certified in relevant areas.
Able to handle physical demands and operate maintenance equipment.

Committed to professional growth and industry trends.

Day-to-Day:

Implement directives from the Board, GM, and Committee.
Lead recruitment, supervision, and staff development.

Manage maintenance budgets effectively.

Compensation:

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000, based on experience.
