About the Association

Bella Vista, a northern gem of Northwest Arkansas, is nestled within the Ozark Mountains, spanning 36,000 acres. This recreational haven encapsulates the region’s natural beauty and vibrant community spirit. Under the meticulous care of the Bella Vista Property Owners Association (POA), one of the nation’s largest, there are many recreational opportunities. These include seven golf courses boasting a remarkable 108 holes, a cutting-edge practice facility, and an extensive network of over 110 miles of walking, hiking, and biking trails to cater to outdoor enthusiasts. Moreover, the city features seven serene lakes perfect for fishing, boating, water skiing, and swimming. For those who prefer on-land activities, there are parks, pavilions, recreation centers, tennis and pickleball courts, an RV park, and camping grounds, ensuring something for everyone. Bella Vista also boasts a variety of unique dining experiences, including lakeside dining, a sports bar, and golf course pubs, all of which are overseen by the Bella Vista POA.

With over 30,000 residents, Bella Vista has a fascinating history of transformation. It initially emerged as a resort destination in 1965, later evolving into a sought-after retirement haven and eventually attaining city status in 2007. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of a changing population and shifting demographics. Bella Vista is celebrated for its pristine and untouched landscapes, showcasing some of Arkansas’s most captivating natural beauty.

Northwest Arkansas has garnered widespread acclaim, being hailed as the “new capital of cool” by The Daily Mail and consistently securing a place among the top 10 places to live according to esteemed sources such as U.S. News & World Report and Money.com. A U.S. News & World Report study predicts the region will double its population, reaching one million residents by 2045. Northwest Arkansas benefits from a top-rated public school system.

The Club has 11,000 golfing members. The gross revenue of the Club is $24.5 million, with a Golf Maintenance Budget of $5 million. There are 200,000 annual golf rounds system-wide. The golf course maintenance staff is comprised of 70 team members in-season. Golf amenities include: (5) 18-hole golf courses, (2) 9-hole golf course, (5) Full-service Golf Shops, Driving Range, Chipping and Putting Greens.

About the Position
The Director of Golf Course Maintenance oversees all golf course maintenance operations for the Bella Vista Property Owners Association (POA), collaborating with various departments. The next Director of Golf Course maintenance plays a crucial role in budget preparation, ensuring a smooth golf course maintenance operation that maintains high standards and member satisfaction.

Responsibilities include employee relations, creating an employee-centric environment, and coordinating personnel matters with the CEO and HR Director. The Director is responsible for financial management, ensuring compliance with internal controls and budgeting, and providing input to the CEO concerning budgets and operational guidelines.

The Director of Golf Course Maintenance participates in communication within the POA, including weekly management meetings and involvement in various committees. The Director manages capital projects related to golf courses, provides advice, and oversees contractors when necessary. They are responsible for golf course maintenance practices, utilizing the latest technologies, and ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment. Professional development and educational opportunities for staff are also part of their duties.

There is an excellent compensation package that will be commensurate with experience.
