responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance standards and best practices that ensure consistent turf quality and a great member experience. • Recruits, supervises, motivates, and retains maintenance staff. Continually monitors and improves employee performance. • Coordinates schedules and assigns tasks to Staff. • Works closely with, advises, and coordinates with the Course Committee Chair and General Manager on any issues related to golf course maintenance. • Supervises and controls all maintenance expenses associated with Golf Course Operations, including payroll, supplies, chemicals, and fertilizers. • Works closely with the General Manager in operating the Golf Course in a fiscally responsible and professional manner. • Application of chemicals, fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides • Operate, maintain, and install irrigation and drainage systems. • Works with the General Manager in developing an annual operating budget and plan for maintenance and capital improvement projects. • Provides a detailed annual plan for the golf course and club grounds. • Oversees employees in proper and safe operation and maintenance of mechanical and power equipment. Plans and budgets for additional or replacement capital equipment. Coordinates snow removal and winter maintenance activities.
