    Assistant Irrigation Store Manager

    We currently have an opening for an Assistant Irrigation Store Manager in our Grimes, Iowa location.  The Assistant Store Manager shares responsibility with the Store Manager for the operation of a retail irrigation store location, while creating exceptional customer satisfaction and the best possible store experience. This includes promptly assisting customers with product orders, checking store inventory levels, communicating product specials through outbound calls and in-store displays, and keeping the store well organized and clean.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

     Assists Store Manager in managing day-to-day operations of the irrigation store.

     Promote and sell store products.

     Obtain, ship, and track customer irrigation stock orders and receive product.

     Enter customer orders.

     Answer customer phone calls and assist store customers.

     Assist in managing store inventory levels.

     Stock store shelves and set up product displays.

     Keep the store organized and clean.

     Process product warranty and claims.

     Conduct inventory cycle counts as needed.

     Arrange / make deliveries as required.

     Additionally, as business needs arise, other tasks may become necessary.

    Education and/or Experience

     High School diploma or equivalent.

     Previous customer service experience.

     Experience with irrigation products preferred.

     Strong problem-solving ability and analytical skills

     Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

     Ability to manage workload and excel at prioritizing and organizing tasks.

     Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

     Displays the ability to learn rapidly and adapt quickly to changing situations.

     Computer and technology proficient.

     Able to occasionally lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.

    Turf Irrigation Product Specialist

    Summary

    The Product Specialist grows Rain Bird Golf Irrigation sales and increases market share through education and demonstration of product lines. This position strengthens Turfwerks’ market position by developing relationships with new turf customers.

    This is a fully remote position; however, since work is often performed at the customer’s place of business, Turfwerks requires the Product Specialist to reside in the Des Moines or Kansas City metro areas. Overnight travel within Turfwerks’ territory is required approximately 50% of the time.

    Essential Functions

    • Make sales by calling on golf courses in person and over the phone
    • Identify new sales opportunities and build relationships with future customers
    • Analyze customer needs and present solutions to best meet those needs
    • Maintain detailed progress reports and fulfill manufacturer reporting requirements
    • Continually strive to acquire product knowledge including competitor product offerings and pricing
    • Promote positive customer relations through professional interactions and appearance

    Qualifications 

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Entry-level competence in sales techniques
    • Knowledge of the golf course industry and golf products
    • Excellent interpersonal skills are required, in addition to the ability to communicate and negotiate with people at all levels
    • Able to work independently and balance multiple priorities and demands simultaneously
    • Strong computer skills including the ability to use Microsoft Office software, mobile phone applications and operate industry-specific software

     Special Considerations

    • The demand of this position often requires a light level of physical endurance.
    • While performing the requirements of this job, employee is required to sit for extended periods of time.
    • Reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching are required occasionally for product demonstrations.

    DESCRIPTION: The Hamilton County Conservation Board is seeking a qualified applicant for a full-time golf course clubhouse manager position to be located at Briggs Woods Golf Course, Webster City, Iowa.

    DUTIES: Under the general supervision of the Executive Director and in relationship of the Golf Course Superintendent, participates in and manages the ordering, purchasing and storage of food and drink for clubhouse customers. Hires, supervises and manages clubhouse staff in providing appropriate services to users of the facilities, such as food preparation and serving. Drink sales along with collection of fees and other normal golf related services. Creates marketing, advertising and promotion of the Briggs Woods Golf Course and Conservation recreation opportunities, offers pro shop sales, lessons and camps. Manages all aspects of tournaments, leagues and outings.

    QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited college preferred in business management and or customer service, related to the field. Previous supervisory training and experience is preferred. Have the ability to work under all types of weather conditions and withstand physical work. Have the ability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, stoop, balance, climb and able to lift up to 50 pounds above the head. Ability to work flexible work days and hours to accommodate work as assigned.

    SALARY: Salary range is $40,000 - $60,000 per year with IPERS and standard county health benefits. Additional income available through camps, lessons and pro shop sales. 40 hour non-scheduled work week with weekend and evening duties. Other benefits may apply.

      As a sales professional, you will build relationships with customers by understanding the needs of the customer and positioning the value of MTI/Toro with them.
