• Job Description:

  Crow Valley Golf Club is looking for two highly motivated interns to join our team for the 2026 season. This is a great opportunity for students interested in golf course management to gain hands-on experience while helping us maintain our course at a championship level.

  In addition to daily maintenance, interns will play a key role in preparing for a major renovation starting in August 2026. This project will include a brand-new irrigation system, a complete bunker redesign, and the rebuilding of six greens. Interns will work closely with our experienced Golf Course Management Team, which brings over 40 years of knowledge across various growing environments. We’re committed to tailoring the internship experience to match each student’s goals and skill set.

  About Crow Valley:

  Crow Valley Golf Club is a private 18-hole course located in Davenport, Iowa—just 4 miles from the Mississippi River. Designed by John N. Cochran in 1969, Crow Valley has a rich history, including hosting the original Quad Cities Open (now the John Deere Classic) and several local and state championships like the 2022 Iowa Amateur and 2024 U.S. Open Local Qualifier. The greens were regrassed with A-4 bentgrass in 2008, and the driving range and short game area were renovated in 2012.

  Internship Duties Include:

  • Daily course setup
  • Equipment operation and basic maintenance
  • Irrigation system operation, repair, and maintenance
  • (Toro Lynx system with Smart satellites and Toro heads)
  • Water management with a focus on hand-watering greens using moisture meters
  • Calibration and use of sprayers and fertilizer equipment
  • Fertilizer and plant protectant applications
  • Crew leadership and supervision

  Educational Requirements:

  Currently enrolled in a Turf Management Program.

  Previous turf management experience is a plus, but not necessary.
