SEEKING: 1st Assistant Grounds Superintendent

Start Date: September 8, 2025

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervisory Duties: Overseeing staff, training, scheduling, and evaluating performance.
  • Project Management: Leading and managing projects, including construction, renovations, and improvements.
  • Staff Development: Providing training and mentorship to staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed for their roles.
  • Vendor Coordination: Working with vendors to obtain supplies and services.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensuring all staff and operations adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Communication: Maintaining open communication with staff, members, and other departments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Industry experience of at least (5) years
  • Strong understanding of golf course maintenance principles, including turfgrass management, irrigation, and chemical applications.
  • Experience in overseeing and managing staff.
  • Ability to operate and maintain a variety of golf course equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Pesticide applicator's license may be required.
  • (Preferred): basic mechanical capabilities

Compensation:

  • Salary commensurate with experience in a range of $45,000 - $55,000
  • Eligibility for health care insurance plan
  • Eligibility for season bonus plan
  • Continuing education assistance
