JOB SUMMARY:

Beaver Creek Golf Club is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. This candidate will have a strong knowledge of golf course maintenance tasks, be dependable, professional, team oriented and have great attention to detail and follow through. The individual will have involvement with staff, irrigation & drainage systems, and small projects. Under the Golf Course Superintendent’s supervision, the Assistant Superintendent will direct day to day work schedules and supervise employees. Individual will have extensive involvement with the planning, scheduling, and implementation of the plant health program and safety program.

JOB DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

Oversee and manage golf course conditions, including performing maintenance, repairs, and improvements. Work with disease/pest scouting, chemical and fertilizer applications, and irrigation system & pump station. Compliance with all policies and procedures as well as adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experienced candidate at a golf facility as an assistant Superintendent.
• Experience with turf management, horticulture, landscape architecture, agronomy, or related field preferred, but will providing training and education opportunities to a strong candidate.
• Demonstrated experience working with a golf course superintendent. Supervisory experience preferred. Valid driver’s license is required. Able to attain an Iowa pesticide applicator license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000-50,000 for experienced Assistant Superintendent
