Hyperion Field Club is currently accepting applications for a 2nd

Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.  Established in 1910, Hyperion Field Club is a private 18-hole facility located north of Des Moines, Iowa. The course features bentgrass tees & fairways, and recently renovated greens and bunkers. The staff is dedicated to a positive environment prioritizing personal growth.

The candidate will be responsible for performing functions required to assist the Golf Course Superintendent in assuring that the golf course and related areas are in the best possible condition with the least amount of member inconvenience. Additionally, the candidate must have or be able to obtain an Iowa Pesticide Applicator License within 60 days of employment. Candidate reports to Golf Course Superintendent.

Education: Two or four-year degree in turf management is preferred.

Experience: Prior experience in golf course maintenance is beneficial.

Salary: $19-21/ hour, Commensurate with experience

Duties:

• Golf course maintenance
• Training and supervision of employees
• Application of pesticides and fertilizers
• Irrigation system maintenance and repairs
• Installation and maintenance of flowers, trees, and shrubbery
• Clubhouse lawn care
