• Minimum education: Completion of 2- or 4-year turf management/horticulture/agriculture degree or degree in progress.

  Desired experience: Experience working on a golf course, turf plot, or in agriculture.

  Hours per week: 40 hours with overtime possibilities.

  Pay Rate: $20 per hour.

  Benefits: Full benefits including health, dental, vision, and supplementals. Health benefits are effective after 60 days of continuous employment.

  Primary Duties:

•  Direct grounds crew in conjunction with Lead Assistants.
• Water greens and engage in moisture management practices course wide.
• Assist in the spray applications process as required.
• Assist in irrigation repair on course grounds.
• Lead lower-level employees in the completion of course projects.
• Perform precise equipment operation including tractors, mowers, skid-steers, and assorted equipment.
• Collaborate with lead assistants and superintendent of grounds to complete assigned tasks.
• Fully engage in project work on the course.
• Assist in tree removal during winter months.
• Cut cups and perform daily course set-up tasks.
• Hand water hot spots including tees, fairways, and green surrounds.

This position requires a strong work ethic and positive attitude in the performance of work duties. We guide a dynamic, challenging, and ever-changing work week, and are looking for an individual who is motivated by a variety of assigned turfgrass assignments in the field. We operate with two lead assistants and expect this position to interface with entire turf team at the organization.

Our superintendents take a hands-on role in guiding, coaching, and leading employees. It is expected that you will show a willingness to learn and grow alongside us. We also recognize the need for a work-life balance, so this position is targeted at 40 hours per week with overtime possibilities. While we are immersed in our daily tasks on the golf course, we encourage time away from work to recharge and focus on your personal interests.
