Shop Talk!

We are trying to get Assistant Superintendents involved in a meeting style atmosphere which we call “Shop Talk.”  Here we share ideas and experiences within the industry, network, and hopefully help further our careers in respect to making the transition from Assistant to Superintendent.   

These meetings will be located at different sites in the Des Moines area, with the understanding these sites can accommodate the potential turn out of the event. Each meeting we will discuss loose topics suggested by attendees. Topic examples would be topdressing, soil report interpretation, budgeting and etc. Meetings are very casual; no need to dress up, and bring whatever information or question you may have on each particular topic. We will also try to have guest speakers when possible who are experienced in the particular topic of each session.

Next session will take place at the Wakonda Club maintenance facility at 5:30 PM on April 21. Those interested please respond one week in advance so proper accommodations can be made. Dinner will not be provided, and there is no cost to attend. We expect the meeting to last approximately 2 hours.
